Homeland - Caccia alla spia
Carrie Mathison, un ufficiale operativo della CIA assegnata al Centro Antiterrorismo, viene informata che un imprecisato prigioniero di guerra americano è in realtà al servizio di Al-Qaeda e sta pianificando un attentato negli Stati Uniti. Successivamente, il suo capo, il direttore David Estes, la informa della liberazione di Nicholas Brody, un sergente dei marines ritenuto scomparso in azione in Iraq dal 2003 e oggi liberato grazie ad un raid della Delta Force. Carrie si convince presto che Brody può essere il prigioniero che lavora per Al-Qaeda, quindi chiede aiuto all'unica persona di cui si può fidare, il suo mentore Saul Berenson, per cercare di trovare prove a sostegno della sua tesi...
Spiazzante, enigmatico, appagante, inaspettato, crudele. Sono solo alcuni degli aggettivi che un comune spettatore può associare ad uno show come Homeland, vero fiore all’occhiello della produzione televisiva Statunitense giunto ora al termine di un’altra spaventosa stagione. Dodici puntate che hanno più volte rimescolato le vicende ponendo noi, ignari watchers passivi, all’interno di un vortice fatto di segreti, doppiogiochisti e risvolti assolutamente inaspettati. La bravura degli autori sta proprio nell’offrire continui cambi di prospettiva nonché rivelazioni fondamentali per la trama, che nella maggioranza dei casi molti altri serial tardano (a volte fin troppo) a mostrare. Coraggio, sfrontatezza, capacità di sorprendere anche colui che ormai resta perennemente annoiato dalla maggioranza di serial uguali e stantii che popolano i vari network. Una narrazione quindi ineccepibile, aiutata da quel cast così straordinario che tanto abbiamo imparato ad amare e da una realizzazione complessiva seconda a nessuno. Questo è Homeland, e se pensavamo di aver visto il meglio già nella prima stagione, tutti noi ci siam dovuti incredibilmente ricredere di fronte alla seconda. Grazie anche alla puntata finale (un’ora e 5 minuti di sbigottimento puro) abbiamo fin da ora già intuito che per la terza season vi sarà ancora una volta un cambio totale di situazioni, punti di vista e svolgimenti.
