About Me:
A sword-toting alien with a fetish for fur and four-legged creatures, I write fiction and spend entirely too much time distracted by shiny things online, like Twitter. I write sci-fi as G. L. Drummond, fantasy and other things as Gayla Drummond.
Without readers, I’m just some loon doing a lot of scribbling about imaginary people. Right now, I’m a loon (oh, the horror!). I’ve been trying to do things the mainstream way, and it ain’t working.
Then came the big Lendink ( /Rq5tMd and /MCIjgM mess, and I am one of the authors who tried to convince the mob it was a good site to have online. You probably know how that worked out. =(
But a cool thing resulted from it: I received an email from a guy (Ashen who suggested I do something kind of crazy: pick some of my titles and release them to the wilds via Torrents, and disgusted by what happened with Lendink, I thought 'Why not?'
I’m an Indie, and have been for almost 5 years. During that time, I’ve published several titles, pulled those that I later decided suck, and have seen some sales and good reviews. I totally fail at marketing, so haven’t found a lot of readers or fans yet.
I do have a few, and call them my Awesome Blossoms, even when they tell me I'm a bitch via email because I killed a character. Yes, that really happened. It was a high point for me as a writer. =)
The thing is, being a writer isn’t much fun without readers. I want you as a reader. I want to entertain you, transport you to different worlds and introduce you to the people who live in my brain.
