About The Author
Chris Ryan was born near Newcastle in 1961. He joined the SAS in 1984. During his ten years he was involved in overt and covert operations and was also Sniper team commander of the anti-terrorist team.

He left the SAS in 1994 and now lives in America. In 1995, wrote about his experiences in the Gulf War in The One That Got Away. He has since gone on to write a number of best-selling novels such as Land of
Fire, Stand By, Stand By and Zero Option

About The Book
SAS Sergeant Geordie Sharp is required to undertake two top-secret missions, in the full knowledge that if they go wrong the authorities will deny all involvement.
In the first, he commands a hit team on a Black (100 per cent non-attributive) task assigned to the SAW, the ultra-secret Subversive Action Wing. Their target is an Iraqi who defected to Libya after the Gulf
War. The aim is to kill him and leave no clues as to the identity or origin of the assassins. The hit team will have to be absolutely clean - wear Arab clothes, use Soviet weapons and ammunition, and bear no
trace of any Western organisation. If anyone is killed, the body will have to be recovered or vaporised with explosives.
Returning to base, Sharp finds he must also carry out a high-level political assassination in mainland Britain. If he fails, his four-year-old son will die at the hands of the IRA. Trapped between opposing
forces in a fight to the death, he twists and turns through a nightmare maze, desperately seeking some way of averting tragedy.
Blackout - three cities all lose power and no-one claims responsibility. The fear is of an imminent terrorist attack. Josh Harding is a tough SAS soldier. Yet his disregard for authority has landed him a
secondment to MI6's anti-terrorism unit. In the wake of the mysterious 'Three Cities' attacks, Josh finds himself on the way to the USA, on the trail of a pair on intrepid young hackers who are out to try
and make themselves a fortune, and who are in grave danger from those who would kill for the secrets they have managed to uncover - how to control the power of the Western world...
Land Of Fire
Mark Black was a young SAS soldier in the Falklands war. He put his life on the line to abduct a young female Argentinian spy and together with his colleagues he was sent on a hazardous reconnaissance
mission before an attack on a fortified airbase. Twenty years later a new Argentine military junta has set its sights on the Falklands and Mark, ill at ease with memories of his past, is once more involved
after a sneak attack on British air defences.
Tenth Man Down
Geordie Sharp is sent to Kamanga in Africa by the SAS to bolster the local government army by training their select Alpha Commando. But soon it becomes clear that Alpha is preparing for a particular
operation: an attack on Gutu a diamond mine in the south of the country captured by rebel forces the previous year. It is in planning this that they needed the SAS's help although the team's orders were to
act as advisers only and not to get involved in any fighting. Things take on a dramatic turn when the team accidentally run into a group of children killing a ten year old boy. So when the local sin'ganga -
the witch doctor - predicts that ten men will die to repay the boy's every year of life "the SAS team start to feel distinctly uneasy
The Increment is the super-secret assassination unit of the SAS - and it has one less member. Matt Browning has been served his walking papers after having the temerity to challenge an order. But his
association with Britain's premier fighting unit is not at an end: his ex-colleagues enlist him to help a massive drugs company get rid of illicit counterfeit medicines manufactured by ruthless European
gangsters. But it transpires that an old army colleague of Matt's is on what looks like a psychotic killing spree - and he's not alone...
SAS captain, Alex, returns from a mission in Sierra Leone on orders to find that someone has been murdering MI5 officers. It becomes clear that the killer is SAS trained - an insider. Under strictest
secrecy, Alex is ordered to track down and eliminate the killer, and is assigned an MI5 officer - the attractive but abrasive Tracy Weaver. Alex becomes almost certain the killer is a skillful soldier
codenamed The Watchman... but why was he slaughtering the upper ranks of the security services? The bitter truth is, there is no good and evil in Intelligence wars, only winners and losers...
